    learning , safety or well-being of others.

Blue Folder
  • The red folder contains important letters,
    homework assignments, and a calendar. This
    folder also contains the behavior chart. If you
    have any notes for me, please place them in this
    folder. If you do not want your child to play
    outside I will need a note. Please notify me if
    a change occurs regarding your childs dismissal.

Homework
Homework goes home on Friday and is due the
following Thursday. Please choose four out of
the six choices offered. Please sign and return.

Sheffield Folders
  • These will be sent home every Tuesday with PTA
    and school information. PLEASE remove items
    before returning on Wednesday.

Absences and Tardies
  • Please call the office AND send a note the next
    day if your child is absent.
  • Your child will be allowed to make up work.
  • Tardies students must be in the classroom
    before the 810 bell rings.
  • -Three tardies equal one absence-

Report Cards
  • Students will receive report cards every NINE
    weeks.
  • They will receive progress reports about every
    four weeks.
  • Grades will be numerical 0-100.

Lunch
  • Lunch costs 1.75 for children and 2.50 for
    adults who wish to eat with their children. I
    encourage you to purchase lunch tickets through
    the cafeteria. Students are allowed 3 IOUs.
    Students will receive a vegetable tray the
    fourth day an IOU is issued.

Library-Computer Lab
  • Library-students will be using the open check-out
    system this year.
  • Computer lab-we will be going to the lab once a
    week for an hour.

Medicine
  • No medications will be given without a signed
    form on file and medication is to stay in the
    clinic. This includes over-the-counter medication
    such as Tylenol, cough drops, and throat
    lozenges.

Snacks
  • Students may bring a morning snack. Please make
    sure it is healthy! For an approved list please
    visit www.squaremeals.org.

Birthdays
  • Unfortunately, students are no longer allowed to
    bring treats from home for birthdays. This is a
    new school policy. Any questions should be
    directed to Mrs. Grieb.

Volunteers
  • If you would like to volunteer at Sheffield
    Primary, please be sure to fill out a volunteer
    packet in advance. These are available from the
    office.
  • You must also attend a Parent Volunteer
    Orientation Meeting. Watch yellow folder for
    dates!
  • A criminal background check is required.

Toys
  • Please do not allow your child to bring toys to
    school.
  • Jump ropes, basketballs, footballs, and soccer
    balls are fine to bring. Please write your
    childs name on them.

PTAParent Teacher Association
  • We are encouraging each family to join PTA.
    This organization helps our school in many
    different ways! Please join!
  • PTA dues are 5.00
