• The whole school had the opportunity to watch
  Robin Hood in pantomime style in the village
  hall. We all thought it was brilliant. We were
  very surprised to realise that there were only
  five actors - two girls and three boys it seemed
  like that there were lots more!

• They had brought their own backdrop, costumes
  and music which totally transformed the village
  hall.
• The one thing we really liked was the fact that
  they had brought little in the way of props - a
  lot was left to our imaginations and everything
  was conveyed by actions.

• The cast sang lots of songs themselves and led
  us all in singing too. Sometimes we could not
  help ourselves and joined in by clapping. We
  absolutely loved it.

• The Reception and Year 1 and Year 2 children had
  a lovely, if a bit scary, surprise before the
  performance because the Sheriff of Nottingham
  came to meet them in their classroom! He helped
  us to practice using our boo-ing voices!

• The pantomime told the story of The Golden Arrow
  competition with several twists to the plot.

Little John was a bear!

• Robin Hood had only just met Maid Marion.

• The Sheriff of Nottingham wanted to marry Maid
  Marion.

• Even though Robin Hood won the archery
  competition the Sherriff of Nottingham threw him
  in prison dont worry he escaped!

• Robin Hood saved Maid Marion from having to
  marry the Sheriff of Nottingham.
• And they all lived happily ever after!
