Why are we thinking about this?
  • Improve relations by decreasing the conflicts
    over clothing between students, staff and parents
  • Promote a more serious atmosphere for learning as
    we increase our focus on academic objectives
  • Promote campus safety and security through quick
    identification of students and visitors
  • Promote a sense of school spirit, acceptance, and
    belonging in the Sheffield-Sheffield Lake City
    School District
  • Promote the real individuality of the students as
    seen in their gifts and abilities, not in their

  • Colors Khaki, Black or Navy Blue
  • Fabric (no denim, windpants, sweatpants, cargo
    pants, stretch pants or leggings)
  • Allowable pants, skirts, skorts, scooters,
    shorts, capris, dresses, jumpers
  • may not be worn from Nov. 1st March 31st
  • Specifics shorts must be knee-length or below
  • Pants must be fitted pants worn at the waist, in
    good condition without holes or fraying
  • If there are belt loops, there must be a belt
    (Grades 4-12)
  • Cannot be altered to meet the requirements

Shirts
  • Colors Black, White or Red
  • Fabric collar OR buttons on the shirts
  • Turtlenecks are allowed
  • Long or short sleeve shirts are permitted
  • No sleeveless tops
  • Specifics Solid colors, no logos
  • Only two buttons (max) may be unbuttoned from the
    TOP of the shirt
  • Shirts must be tucked in
  • Cannot be altered to meet the requirements

Sweaters
  • Colors (solid) Black, White or Red
  • Specifics a shirt (collar/buttoned top) must be
    worn underneath sweater /sweatervest/ vest
  • No logos, no hoodies.
  • Crewneck sweatshirts
  • Cannot be altered to meet the requirements

Shoes
  • No open-toed shoes, no flip-flops no slippers
  • Shoes with closures must be worn as intended. Tie
    shoes must be tied
  • Heelies are not permitted
  • See dress code policy for additional information

  • Standard dress belt in black/brown, or solid
    color belt in same color as pants, must be worn
    with clothing with belt loops. Belts must fit
    and have a standard buckle
