laptops that we use as a mobile ICT suite. - All classrooms from Reception to Year 5 are

4DB Primary
- Key stage 1 and 2 children have access to their
own individual web pages in our virtual learning
environment (accessed through our website) where
they have their own email facilities, blog and
web space for transferring work from home to
school as well as a class community page where
they can find quizzes and forums.

- ICT is also used across the curriculum to enhance
teaching and learning in all subjects.

39Becta ICT Mark
- In April 2009 we became the first primary school
in Kirklees to be awarded the Becta ICT Mark , an
award which recognises our excellent practice in
ICT across all ages and areas of learning in
school. - Becta is the Government's lead agency for
Information and Communications Technology (ICT)
in education, covering the United Kingdom. - Schools accredited with the ICT Mark standard are
demonstrating that they are committed to using
technology to improve their overall effectiveness
and efficiency.
