Annual Progress Report

• Reading
• 07-08 Goal 4th grade students will increase
  reading comprehension by 5
• 4th grade went from 66 as 3rd graders to 48
  proficient as 4th graders
• Goal was NOT met in reading

08-09 Reading Goal

• 5th grade Free and Reduced students will increase
  reading proficiency
• This group of students was at 37 proficiency
  last year as 4th graders, so they would need to
  reach at least 38 proficiency this year

• 07-08 Goal 11th grade students will increase
  their math total score by 5
• 11th grade students went from 68 proficient as
  10th graders to 65 proficient as 11th graders
• Goal was NOT met in math

08-09 Math Goal

• 11th grade Free and Reduced students will
  increase math proficiency
• This group was at 41 proficiency last year as
  10th graders, so they will need to reach at least
  42 proficiency this year

• O7-08 goal Students in grades 2-11 will increase
  science proficiency by 5
• Students in grades 2-11 increased science
  proficiency from 80 to 81
• Although scores increased, the goal was NOT met
  in science.

• IEP students in grades 6-11 will increase science
  proficiency
• This group was at 37 proficiency last year, so
  they will need to reach at least 38 proficiency
  next year.

• 35 of 49 students (71.4) who took the ACT in
  07-08 scores a 20 or above (Iowa ave.71.9)
• 40 of 51 graduating seniors (78.4) intended to
  pursue post-secondary education or training (Iowa
  ave.84.2)
• 24 of 51 graduates (47.1) completed a core
  program of 4 yrs. English and 3 years of math,
  science, and social studies (Iowa ave.60)
