ACHC is a Collaboration for Substance Abuse
Prevention
  • Our goal is to mobilize credible voices about the
    costs of substance abuse in Oakland County,
  • and achieve changes to increase community health.

What is CMCA?
  • An evidence based model program that utilizes
    community-organizing strategies to reduce youth
    access to alcohol.
  • Through 1-1 interviews, well gather information
    about our community.
  • Using the gathered information, a strategy team
    will be formed to plan for changes that will
    reduce underage drinking.

CMCA TrainingSuccess Defined 
  • CMCA has proven that effectively limiting access
    to alcohol for people under 21
  • Directly reduces teen drinking.
  • Communicates a clear message to the community
    that underage drinking is inappropriate and
    unacceptable.
