Integrating information
Activity Of Magrebian pass
  • To improve traffic management in the corridors a
    common strategy was developed.
  • The corridors are divided into homogeneous
    sections and characteristics
  • Each homogeneous section was described and
analized in order to implement adequate
    management and control strategies.
  • Every TCC is in charge of several sections of the
    corridors
  • All TCCs information are integrated to improve
the coordination and actuation in case of incident

Integrating information
Activity Of Magrebian pass
  • DATEX
  • Is a system to exchange information between TCCs
  • Define a structured model to represent traffic
    information
  • Datex-net is a European standard that allows to
    take decisions to develop the
  • Type of data to exchange
  • Communication level
  • Level 1.- Send
  • Level 2.- Request/Send
  • Level 3.- Order catalog/Send
  • Data update strategy

Conclusions
Activity Of Magrebian pass
  • The DGT experience in this type of emigrational
movements has made possible to improve congestion
    and boarding problems.
  • The positive results in this matter shows that
the work line is correct. DGT has established a
continuous feed-back process in order to improve
    the traffic in the corridors
  • Currently, DGT is working to put ready the
    special operation for 2003 summer
  • All measures exposed will be developed
