  • The Idaho National Guard is a trained,
    professional force ready to accomplish its
    mission with citizen soldiers and airmen
    committed to preserving the timeless traditions
    and values of service to our nation and
    communities. While demonstrating sound
    environmental stewardship, our mission is to
    maintain properly trained, equipped, and
    disciplined forces for domestic emergencies,
    homeland security missions, or for prompt
    mobilization for conflicts around the world.
  • The Idaho National Guard is committed to
    pollution prevention. The Idaho National Guard
    will comply, and where practical, exceed relevant
    environmental laws, regulations, and other
    environmental requirements. This will be
    accomplished by using environmental management
    procedures to improve and monitor our
    environmental performance.

  • Personnel are expected to be stewards of
    environmental protection by being responsible for
    understanding and implementing current
    procedures, practices and policies and by
    bringing deficiencies of operations to the
    attention of top management for correction.
  • We will work aggressively with local, state, and
    federal agencies, environmental interest groups,
    and private industry in order to communicate to
    the public our goal of long term environmental
    quality and improvement.
  • We pledge to monitor our performance as an
    ongoing activity and provide a framework for
    establishing and reviewing quality and
    environmental objectives and targets.

    activities and services members monitor and
    improve their respective environmental programs
    and enhance overall environmental stewardship of
    the environment for the Idaho National Guard.
