• 21 students from 20 universities around the
  country attended
• Meteorology
• Oceanography
• Civil/Environmental Engineering
• Chemical Engineering
• Atmospheric Science/Air Quality
• 5 day workshop with the purpose of informing
  students of research and career opportunities
  within the atmospheric science field
• Interact with other students and scientists
• Encourage students to continue education through
  graduate school
• Learn how to build leadership skills

  computers and video projectors to display
  planetary data onto a six foot diameter sphere

Hiaper taking off

• The Hiaper is currently being utilized as part of
  the Hiaper Pole to Pole Observations (HIPPO) of
  Carbon Cycle and Greenhouse Gases
• Will measure cross sections of atmospheric gas
  concentrations from pole to pole, 4 times over a
  2 year period
• The program will provide the first comprehensive,
  global survey of atmospheric trace gases,
  covering the full troposphere in all seasons and
  multiple years
