- Notified Bodies and independent testing
laboratories are vital for market surveillance - Standards / Producers / MS Auth
- To coordinate the approach from national market
surveillance authorities to NBs and independent
testing laboratories - Quality / RA / independence / responsibility /
designation proc / ....
4Deliverables and expected outcomes
- Analysis of needs of market surveillance
authorities - To draw up a reference list of existing
infrastructure and of the organisations working
in the field of products testing and
verifications (Nando ) - To harmonise the approach of different market
surveillance authorities to NBs and expert
laboratories

- To set up a survey on national market
surveillance authorities needs, on relationship
with notified bodies / expert laboratories - To identify a list of reference Notified Bodies
and expert laboratories (Nando ) - To identify best practices between MS Authorities
and Notified Bodies / expert laboratories
6Key Tasks (2)
- To promote regular meetings at EU- and national
- level between MS Authorities and NBs and other
stakeholders on matters of common interest, e.g. - Legal development, nationally and in Europe
- Reports on market surveillance activities and
outcomes concerning activity of NBs / expert
laboratories - Use of commonly agreed reference forms
- Interpretation of reference standards
- Common approach to risk assessment

To organize Ring Tests (Blind ?) in order to
control the quality of the NBs To organize
