Wellness Centre in aquatic development in the

- The ASA aim to increase participation within
aquatics. - We aim to develop seamless pathways in order to
maximise the opportunities for participation
success. - Swim 21 networks reduce duplication of provision
and create economies of scale.
3Redeveloping our sport
- We need to create business structures and
partnerships, capable of delivering quality
outcomes for a 21st Century environment. - Sport England Club Coach investment to assist
the development of our delivery agencies. - Placement of this investment will usually be a
regional decision.

configured in 50m format for the high
performance athletes. - High quality coaching support staff.
- 23 hours a week of pool space.
- 6 hours gym per week.
- Vertical management structure.
- Regional athlete support role Sports Science,
etc. - Regional Focus for Workforce Development -
developing coaches, sports scientists, managers,
etc. - Innovating and developing new technologies/ideas
in partnership with H.E./FE/Industry.

11Beacon programme as a regional resource
- Sunderland does not have the capacity to
satisfy the demand for access from all the
agencies in the NE region. - ASA supports the allocation of access for
performance swimming being in a regionally
co-ordinated manner. - An integrated approach will assist achievement of
health, participation, development performance
objectives.
