  • Step 1 Residential weekend at PGL Marchants
    Hill
  • Step 2 Thames Valley University (introduction
    day, 6 evening taster and mentoring sessions,
    celebration event) and Directors Box at Fulham
    FC
  • Step 3 Residential weekend to Kingwood Centre,
    Norfolk (Spring half-term)
  • Step 4 5 week taster/mentoring/Study
    Club/Connexions sessions with the School of
    Oriental and African Studies and BBC tour (Spring
    Term)
  • Step 5 6 week enhanced workshops/mentoring
    sessions at Roehampton University (Summer Term)

  • 29 young people have accessed project
  • Core group of 12 achieved 100 attendance
  • Aspirations reaffirmed
  • Career mapping clear and owned by young people
  • Borough commitment to future of project
  • Young people experiencing difficulties engaging
    with education, now achieving greater success at
    school
  • Improved relationships with carers/parents
  • Empowerment of carers/families to support post 16
    opportunities
  • Young people desire to continue Study Club
  • Young people supported in accessing work
    experience
  • Developed interest in extended learning
    activities eg inter-borough LAC football teams
  • Improving soft social skills eg eating in
    restaurants
  • 3 young people with disabilities have accessed
    the project
  • Enhanced engagement from hard to reach families
    including essential respite care

    overnight visits to Universities
