• The are special terms actors use when they learn
  blocking. These terms are sometimes called Stage
  Directions. There are five main stage
  directions
• Upstage the stage area away from the audience.
• Downstage the stage area toward the audience.
• Center stage the center of the stage.
• Stage Left the left side of the stage from the
  actors point of view.
• Stage Right the right side of the stage from the
  actors point of view.
