  established in1919
• In 2006, it was awarded the Royal Chartered
  status by Her Majesty QE II
• In 2007, It becomes CQI (Chartered Quality
  Institute)?

• In 1988, Leslie Lee recommended to set up HK
  Branch
• With the assistance of Assistant Director of
  Industry Dept., IQA President and CEO of HKQAA
• In 1991, IQA-HK Branch was established

• 12,500 membership worldwide !!!
• Individual Chartered Status

  IRCA (International Register of Certificated

Purpose of BLIQ award

• 1. Award
• Provide International recognition to Business
  Leader(s)?
• Personal branding
• Need to understand what is going on and how well
• Interview by 2 Assessors for half a day
• 2. Benefits to the Organization
• Encourage Top management involvement and
  participation
• Benchmark against a Business Excellence Model
• Use BLIQ criteria as guidelines for Business
  Improvement
• Subject to one day assessment against BLIQ
  criteria
• Encourage continuous learning and development

Pass mark for BLIQ award

• Achieved 600 points out of 1,000.

Validation of BLIQ award

• It is valid for 1 year
• BLIQ Awardee must complete BLIQ Continuity
  requirements
• Half a day assessment by 2 Assessors

Application procedure

• Fill in Application form and HK30,000
• Confirmation by CQI-HK Branch
• Arrangement for assessment visit by Assessors
• Conduct Site assessment and write report
• Final Judging and recommendation by CQI-HK Branch
  committee, Dr TY Lee and Dr KS Chin
• CQI QB Final review and make decision
• CQI UK issue award
• Award ceremony in the beginning of the year
• BLIQ Award Renewal (see guidelines, HK10,000)?
