23 LINE LETTERING
3 Line Lettering is very simple and neat, and
useful to use on sub headings. Follow this step
by step guide to produce the perfect 3 Line
Lettering.
Step 1 Draw 3 horizontal, parallel
lines. Step 2 Start with the first letter of
your work, it should stretch from the top line to
the bottom line. If you are using letters such as
R or P it should be divided on the middle
line. Step 3 Follow this process with all
the following letters, ensuring they fill the gap
between the top and bottom. Note the G also
fits to the middle line.

36 LINE LETTERING 6 Line lettering is very
similar to bubble writing, however is much more
structured and follows similar rules to 3 Line
lettering.
Step 1 Draw 5 horizontal, parallel lines, plus 1
waved line at the bottom. Step 2 Divide the
lines up so you have enough space for each
letter. Step 3 Look at the process as
though you are taking chunks away from each box.
Therefore each letter should fill each box.
4BUBBLE WRITING Bubble writing is similar to 6
line lettering, to produce simple, quick and easy
lettering.
Step 1 Draw 2 Lines to form the top and the
bottom of your letters, these can be straight or
curved. Step 2 Divide the lines up so you
have enough spaces for each letter to fit
in. These can be either vertical, or tipped at an
angle. Step 3 Look at the process as though
you are taking chunks away from each box.
Therefore each letter should fill each box. Try
using different types of lines,
straight, curved, wavy, all look good.
