1
When the program starts you will see this main
menu screen
All actions in PADDS begin with setting up the
patient
If you are using the Per Use Licensing the
remaining uses will show here when the count
reaches 5 or less. This reminder lets you know
when its time to reorder
2
To see if this patients information has already
been entered, type the first few letters of the
LAST name in this box. The program searches and
automatically displays the names in a list.
This screen is used to lookup existing patients,
or to add new patients to the database. This
format is very simple to use while greatly
reducing the number of errors resulting from
misspellings and accidental duplications.
3
To see if the patient has been tested before,
simply type the first letters of the patients
last name in the Patient Last Name field the
database will list all names beginning with that
letter and further narrow the list with each
additional letter as needed. In this example it
displays a scrollable list of all names in the
database starting with the letter s.
To see all names in the database dont type
anything in the Patient Last Name field, click
onList All Patients . If the patient is in the
list click the name to continue. If not, click
the Add New Patient button to enter the new
patient.
4
When you click on a name in the list (previous
slide), this additional screen appears with the
parent or guardians name of this patient. This
is a necessary crosscheck for instances where
there may be one or more patients with the same
name, e.g. (John Smith, Bob Brown, etc). If the
information is correct then click Continue
with this patient. If its not correct click on
Go Back to patient setup to go back and enter a
new patient.

You will see this screens if the patients name
isnt in the patient database. You will click on
the OK button. Then click on the Add New
Patient, button to add the new patient.

screen where you can enter the new patients
information. Please note all items in red are
required fields and must be entered. At a
minimum, you must provide the patients and
parent or guardians name and date of birth,
however to reduce duplicate record errors we
recommend you enter all information on the form.
7
If any of the patients information is incorrect
or has changed, you click on Edit Patient Info
button to edit the database.
If you chose an existing patient from the
database, you will see this screen with their
information in it. To continue click on the

this patient by clicking on the Delete This
Patient button. Do not delete anything unless
you are certain you wish to delete an item
because once it has been deleted, its gone.
