NRNA is an association committed to create a
global network of Nepali and streamline their
energy and resources so as to make the Diaspora a
catalyst of eonomic and social transformation of
Nepal.
- First Meeting Held in London on 31 August 2003
- Formal establishment of NRN in Kathmandu on 11
October 2003 - Three global conferences so far (Oct 03, Oct 05,
Oct 07) in Nepal - Fourth Global Conference to be held 13 Oct - 15
Oct 09 in Kathmandu - Three regional conferences so far (Jan 05 in
Doha, Jun 06 in Bonn and May 08 in Bangkok)
5NRNA - Who are NRNs
NRN refers to both people of Nepali origin who
have acquired foreign citizenship and people of
Nepali origin who currently hold Nepali passport
but who have lived outside SAARC countries ()
for a period of more than 182 days by
representing and promoting their interests both
in Nepal and abroad.

- Will elect the Board Members once a year.
- Critically questions the legitimacy of NCC
Switzerland. - Contributes to the betterment of NCC Switzerland.
- 7 Core Committee Members.
- 1 of the 7 Members will be elected as the
President. - The position of the President will rotate.
- All the 7 Members will lead at least 1 WG.
- 3 - 5 Members.
- Supports the Core Committee in the strategic
matters. - Can participate the WG meetings.
- Approx. 3 members.
- 1 presides the WG and represents in the CG.
- Prepares the working plan and activities of its
WG. - Works independently and reports to the CG
continuously. - Organizes regular meetings within the WG as per
the need.

- Keeps and maintains the offices of the
Association. - Maintains the Associations
website. - Facilitates, co-ordinates and
organizes meetings and seminars.
- Fosters closer co-operation. - The Head of the
Public Relations Group represents NRN Switzerland
and becomes the member of NRN ICC.
- Looks after the books and accounts. - Prepares
business and marketing plans. - Fund raising.
- Plays a vital role in using, promoting and
publishing the languages and literature of
Nepal. - Collects and promotes children
literature/books among children/Secondos. - Uses
this platform to convince/motivate parents to
promote the languages of Nepal to their children.

entrepreneurship. - Keeps records of Nepali
entrepreneurs in Switzerland.
- Plays key role to promote and develop tourism
in Nepal. - Fosters and supports Nepali Travel
Agencies in Switzerland. - Makes every effort to
make Nepal the tourist destination.
- Increases awareness of the cultures of
Nepal. - Promotes and preserves the cultures of
Nepal. - Organizes cultural programs during
Nepali festivals (Dashain, Tihar,
Teej). - Organizes sports competition. .
