2R D project in Finnish Hospitals (VALSAI)
- Changes in health care processes
- Flexibility needed new methods, modern
technology - Hospital infections resistant bacteria
- Future ward, outpatient care
- Need to separate acute and elective care
- Aging population, lack of personnel, economical
reasons - Need for renovation (due to the age condition)
in hospitals - Need to improve the IAQ hygiene in hospitals
- Need to improve strategies how to renovate
hospitals - How to get funding, who should own the hospital

10VALSAI - PROJECT
OBJECTIVES
- Develop tools for making regional long term
planning - including space requirement estimation
- Produce criteria to estimate usability,
operability, technical - systems, as well as the basis for physical
condition surveys - and refurbishment design
- Develop refurbishment processes for hospital
facilities - Develop new tools for property management and
carry out - piloting of the tools
- Find alternative solutions to own, finance and
manage - hospital properties
