My Problem

• When I am at school I do not have time to play
  with my dog and neither do my parents because
  they are at work.
• My dog gets bored just sitting in the back yard.

My Goal

• My goal was to make my invention where my dog
  could step on it and a tennis ball would toss out
  and no one would have to be there.

First Attempt

• On my first attempt I thought of the design of a
  see saw.
• I glued PVC pipe to a piece of wood that held
  together really well.
• One thing that did not work was that the piece of
  would I thought I could use was to heavy I had to
  get something lighter.

Second Attempt

• On my second attempt I changed the base from
  plywood to a 1 by 8 piece of wood so the base
  would be sturdier.
• The PVC pipe was to tall so the ball would not
  shoot out so I had to get a different type of PVC
  pipe.
• The base worked so much better with a sturdier
  type of wood.

Third Attempt

• On my third attempt I took out all of the nails
  that where connected to my pivot point and
  relocated my pivot point.
• I got curved PVC pipe so the tennis ball could
  sit on top of it so it would shoot out better.

Final Product

• On my final product I made a ramp so the tennis
  balls would roll on to the PVC pipe.
• I painted my invention white and put decorations
  on it with a black sharpie.
• I also put Astroturf in the middle of the two
  boards to bring down the noise when the boards
  hit each other.

• My problem was solved my dog will have something
