Mikhail Libenson(1940-2004)
- M. Libenson was a strong supporter of our
association. He held the view that Europe is one
family of nations.He was very active in
promoting this view, both in Moscow and in St.
Petersburg, and will be remembered by all of us
for this warm, friendly and open-minded approach
to all the problems faced by the scientists

3Creation of ES Local Section in Russia
- ES Regional Section in Russia (Central office,
St. Petersburg) was founded in Russia in 2003 by
the decision of the ES Governing Board on the
base of St. Petersburg branch of ESWGTT, which
was inaugurated on December 1998 - Dr. Nelly Didenko (SPb SC RAS) was appointed as
the official representative (Coordinator) of this
Section. There are already about 100 members of

- The main goal of our section is to assist in
promotion of Russian scientists participation in
European Scientific and Technological Space. - The main objectives of our group are
