Deliverables why and what?
  • They should have
  • Summation of the main themes of the syllabus
  • Be built upon each other
  • Be a tool for the final exam
  • Illustrate how an article/thesis is built up
  • Benefits for the individual
  • You will find that the work youve put in will
make the final exam easier !
  • You can use this in your work/literature in your
    thesis.

Deliverable 3 - summation
  • Use of terms
  • Good, but some have to work through it
  • Some have points of discussion that others do
    not.
  • Use this! Use what other have done!
  • Knotting it together
  • Most have got this down
  • Best examples
  • Groups C,D,E,H and G
  • All have different approaches but work well.
  • Others could be mentioned

4
Deliverable 4- put it all in contextHome
  • Get a red thread through the document
  • Se that it all works and is understandable
  • Se that your conclusions are based on what you
    state through the document!
  • And does IT matter?
  • In your case?
  • Carr vs syllabus?

5
Lectures?
  • Have they been useful?
  • Did you learn anything?
  • What could have been better?
  • What would you see that was improved?

6
Project groups?
  • Have you worked well with your team?
  • Have you contributed with your part?
  • Should this have been independent essays?
  • Did you have discussions?
  • What should be improved?
  • What did you teach the others in you team?

7
Groups with Sturle
  • Were they of any use?
  • Did you learn anything?
  • Did you contribute to making it a good session?
  • Were you prepared?
  • What could be done better?
  • What was good?
  • Did the discussions help?
  • Did it contribute to your project?

8
My intent why groups
  • Dissatisfied students Fall 2002
  • 20 students complained
  • Most articles by the same authors
  • They repeated each other
  • No follow up on the projects
  • Little feedback, left to figure out what was what
    to ourselves.
  • Make the course more useful
  • Get a dialog between students and staff
  • Contribute to better understanding.
  • Make you understand how much work it is!
  • Bringing the burden of freeloaders of your backs!
  • And more

9
Whats left?
  • GOOD LUCK!
  • I will be available for consultations during the
    home exam.
