    Hawaii, with eight 6-m antennae.

    observe submillimeter emission from warm, dense
    gas and dust
  • baselines as long as 509 m gt high resolutions
    of up to 0.1 (? ?/D)
  • the Solar system, star and planet forming
    regions, evolved stars, and galaxies at nearby
    and cosmological distances.
