• Emergents-Giant trees higher than all the rest.
• Canopy-Upper part of the trees very leafy
• Understory- Dark, cool enviornment under the
  leaves but over the ground.
• Forest Floor-ground largest of the animals live
  there many insects

Weather of the Rainforest

• Always raining-getting about 80 inches per year!
• Never freezes and never gets very hot
• Comfy temperature (75-80F)

So why is the rainforest so important??

• Very important to the ecosystem-Greenhouse effect
  
• Remove carbon dioxide from the air to store in
  plants
• A lot of foods we eat come from the rainforest
