• University sponsored (like Berkeley)
• Berkeley-style legacy model interfacea standard
  for 35 years that is easy to integrate
• Complete model with documentation, derivatives,
  noise, etc.
• Very suitable for growth applications (RF,
  nanometer effects)
• Full featured

Silvaco Commitment to HiSIM-2

• With permission of STARC and Hiroshima University
• Until October
• Support original university code as well as our
  rewritten/optimized version (e.g. Level 8 and
  Level 81 for latest BSIM3 version)
• We will give our versions to all CMC members and
  support them beginning in July
• We support open source models because we sell our
  SmartSpice simulators based upon numerics,
  accuracy and performancenot on proprietary
  models
• After October, if we win
• We will continue to support both original
  university code as well as our rewritten/optimized
  version
• We will post the current, optimized source on CMC
  and Silvaco webs
• We will always support Berkeley compliant
  interface
