• In the first part of presentation we would like
  to give some historical details, in the second
  part well talk about people and their works.

• In fact, our town is so beautiful and has such a
  rich history, that we couldnt choose from where
  we should begin to speak about it or what
  details would be most interesting to all of you
  but.. to begin with, it is one of the most
  beautiful towns of southern Lithuania situated on
  the peninsular of the Ancia lake.

• Veisiejai Estate was mentioned already in 1501.
  So, in 2001 Veisiejai celebrated the Anniversary
  of 500 years the President of Lithuania Valdas
  Adamkus handed towns Emblem to Veisiejai
  headman.

• In the second half of 18th century construction
  of the present church was started however, the
  church was completed in 1818 only. One art critic
  wrote by its hugeness it should be a cathedral
  in a big town instead a parish church in a small
  town.

• In 1886-1887 Ludwig Lazer Zamenhof, creator of
  Esperanto language, lived in Veisiejai. He
  prepared for printing the first textbook of the
  artificial language in Veisiejai thus Veisiejai
  can be considered the birthplace of Esperanto
  language.

At the moment Veisiejai population is about 2200.
Naturally, Veisiejai as every little town of
Lithuania has got the basic facilities, but the
main thing that wed like to emphasize is people.
Because all the beauty of Veisiejai was and is
created by people.

• A very interesting cultural and sport life is
  organized there. Three years ago in Veisiejai was
  established the park of wooden sculptures and the
  gallery of art (of course, in our school). And
  from that moment every spring and summer the
  meetings of artists and sculptors are organized.

• In winter time various cultural evenings are
  held in a cultural center or in schools. For
  instance, concerts of classical music or the show
  of documentary films. Last spring, seven
  blacksmiths worked together for almost ten days
  and created the metal tree of seven little suns
  with a weathervane on the top of it.

• From schools history
  In 1960 in Veisiejai
  was started agriculture technicum. In 1984 the
  school was reorganised into 90th profession
  technical school. In 1989 our school was
  reorganised into Veisiejai Agriculture School and
  got new buildings. From 1993 school is commanded
  by headmaster Mr. S. Saladinskas. In 2002 we
  became Veisiejai Technology and Business school.

• - the blacksmith
• Also we have gymnasium class, and from this year
  together with Marijampole College we started
  preparing tourism administrators.

Our students and pupils participate in various
projects- the project of blacksmiths- the
project of floristic- the project of building,
etc.

• In region of Veisiejai there are not only many
  men of agriculture, hands of gold, valiant
  singers and dancers, but also crystal lakes,
  shady forest, wonderful places. This region will
  love everyone, who will spend more time there.

• Taking into consideration our regions and
  todays school situation, we think that for us
  it is better to establish the firm of rural
  tourism services. After long discussions and
  preparing various business plans, we chose the
  most beneficial area the firm of rural tourism
  services.

• The firms location There is a farm of rural
  tourism near our school ( actually, its in the
  territory of the school.) As you can see we have
  very good conditions to develop such a business.
  Students firm will function as a separate
  student firm, but of course, we will co-operate
  with the school. The firm will provide these
  services
• a) tourism
• b) accommodation
• c) nutrition (breakfast, lunch, supper)

The analysis of business environment

• Political legal
• In Lithuania there is created beneficial law
  system for developing rural tourism.

• Technological
• There is an opportunity to use various sport
  equipments and sport hall, riding horses, rent of
  a bus, usage of water bicycles, swimming in a
  lake, picking up mushrooms and berries, etc.

• Economic
• There arent many rural tourism firms in our
  region, which provide the same services thats
  why we are quite exclusive. The demand for rural
  tourism services is growing every day well
  offer lower prices, more services in order to
  attract more clients.

• Geographical (location)
• The farm is next to the forest, not so far from
  the Ancia lake. The farm is surrounded by a
  garden. A house is built from wooden logs. On the
  ground floor there is a kitchen, a sauna, a
  shower, mini pool. On the first floor there are 2
  bedrooms, a living room, a dining room with a
  fireplace in it, a shower/WC. On the second floor
  there are 2 bedrooms, a shower/WC. Guests have an
  opportunity to cook meals by themselves or they
  can have meals in schools canteen. Also guests
  have an opportunity to get fresh milk products
  and vegetables.

• All, above mentioned, services can be provided
  for the whole year. The Ancia lake is 300m away
  from the farm. The nearest shop is 150m away a
  bus stop is 1km away and train station is 40km
  away. The main thing is that Veisiejai town is
  situated not so far from Poland and Belarus
  borders. The Polish custom is 25km away from our
  town, and Belarusian custom is 30km away.

• The changing life style, growing popularity of
  the healthy way of life and growing demand of
  ecological production prove the advantages of our
  chosen business environment.
