  • Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP)
  • If one sub-group misses their target growth, the
entire school appears on the States list for
    schools that need improvement.
  • 5 Stillwater schools were on the AYP list.
  • Stonebridge did not meet our AYP target in
Special education math and Free and Reduced math.
  • To make AYP, students in 9 different sub-groups
must reach minimum proficiency levels in math and
    reading on the MCA II.
  • We believe that ALL Stonebridge students belong
to ALL of us, and this is our opportunity to
further meet the needs of our students,
    regardless of the subgroups.

Professional Learning Communities
  • 4 Critical Questions
  • What is it we expect our students to learn?
  • How will we know when each student has mastered
    the expected learning?
  • How will we respond when a student experiences
    initial difficulty in learning?
  • How will we deepen the learning for students who
have already mastered essential knowledge and
    skills?
  • Educators are committed to working
collaboratively in order to achieve better
results for the students they serve.
  • PLCs operate under the assumption that the key to
improved learning for students is continuous,
    job-embedded learning for educators.
