• This has resulted in a massive demand for
  qualified manpower in todays market

• Most services industries in India are growing at
  over 20 per cent, compared to the overall
  economy's under-9 per cent.
• In the service sector the rapidly growing banking
  Insurance is expected to create about a million
  jobs every year for the next five years
• The insurance industry will lead by creating
  500,000 jobs.

• ICICI Bank, is the second largest bank in India
• presently has about 37,000 people onboard and has
  the plan to take this number to 1lakh in the next
  five years
• ICICI bank is expanding its branches rural market
  in a big way
• The present Man power requirement is 15000 P.A
  and facing acute shortage of skilled manpower
• To Solve this problem ICICI has Partnered with
  Manipal education group for setting up a ICICI
  Manipal Academy for Banking

ICICI Manipal Academy of Banking(IMA)

• IMA is a joint venture of ICICI bank and Manipal
  University.
• IMA will exclusively service the Human Resource
  requirements of ICICI Group
• IMA has two campuses - one at Hyderabad and the
  other at Bangalore
• IMA offers PGDM in Banking and Insurance with the
  aim of transforming young graduates into smart
  bankers

• One-year, full time, residential training
  Programme
• Students in rural area who are excluded from top
  brads for higher studies are selected through
  all India level test
• Imparts knowledge and skills in general
  management, core banking, and language skills
• On successful completion of the Programme
  students are appointed as probationary officers
  by ICICI bank

• IMA is a Innovative initiative of Manipal Group
  to provide inclusive employment to rural youth
  Industry ready skilled manpower to fast growing
  baking sector
• This experiments will be expanded other sectors
  like retail, IT , Telecom etc
• First of its kind in India to provide industry
  ready manpower to sustain high growth rate of
  Indian economy and inclusive employment to young
  graduates in the semi urban and urban area who
  left out top brands in education and employment
