Safe and Drug-Free Schools The Proposal

• This proposal would provide money to schools
  for hiring drug prevention and school safety
  program coordinators so that schools can work to
  correct drug and violence problems. The money
  schools receive from this proposal can be used
  for drug testing, locker searches, background
  checks for school employees, training in crisis
  management, and to help troubled and violent
  youth.

One Reason Why Legislators Should Vote Yes

• People have difficulty learning if they
  do not feel safe. Schools should be safe places
  for students to learn.

A Second Reason Why They Should Vote Yes

• There are children in schools whose
  families, friends, and/or communities are
  affected by illegal drug use. It is not the
  kids fault. These students need help from
  trained, caring adults to deal with their
  circumstances, so they dont use drugs, too.
