Older Youth Credential Rate
  • Official definition The number of Older Youth
    who are employed or are in post-secondary
    education or advanced training in the 1st quarter
    after the exit quarter and receive a
    credential/certificate by the end of the 3rd
    quarter after the exit quarter divided by the
    number of Older Youth who exit during the quarter.

  • Simplified definition Measures percentage of
    all Older Youth who earn a credential/
    certificate during the program or within several
    months after the program. They must also have a
    job, or be in postsecondary education or advanced
    training soon after leaving the program.
  • All Older Youth are included in the credential
    measure.

  • Older Youth are subject to Older Youth
    Credential and Attainment of Certificate or
    Degree measures. For customers who enter
    after July 1, the definition of credential and
    certificate are the same, the new rigorous
    definition.

    employers.
  • Does not include work readiness certificates.
