    activities as well as maintaining a world-class
    response capability, said Hirsch, with Natural
    Resources Canadas Canadian Forest Service in
    Edmonton. In Canada, were very good at
    fighting wildfire, but maintaining and
    refurbishing our preparedness capacity will be a
    key challenge over the next decade as we lose
    expertise through waning equipment and retiring
    personnel.
