COMP 3631Lab Assignment Submission Standards

Requirements

• Labs and Assignments are due on the date
  stipulated. Due dates are firm.
• Late submissions will not be marked. NO
  EXCEPTIONS
• Labs are always due in FIVE days.
• I will not accept late submissions or second
  submissions for the same Lab/Assignment, unless I
  specifically ask for it.
• All applications must run before they will be
  marked.
• Submissions that do not deploy correctly will not
  be awarded a mark.
• Submissions that fail because of runtime
  exceptions/compile errors will not be marked.
• Submissions MUST include all Java source code to
  receive a grade
• Your name and ID number must appear as comment at
  the top of EVERY source file you submit. This
  includes Java, HTML, JSP etc.

Requirements

• Submissions will be as .war files. None other
  will be accepted.
• The entire context will be submitted, including
  source code.
• Your ID number and assignment number will used in
  the name of the file.
• eg. A00123456_lab01.war
• No additional set up will be performed at my end.
• All I will do is deploy your .war file in Tomcat.
  There will be no attempts made to redeploy files
  in proper directories or to fix your
  submission.
• Make sure you test your submission before you
  submit it. I suggest you deploy your .war file to
  make the application is extracted and runs as
  expected.
• Delete old and unused files before submission.

Requirements

• ALL submissions will be made to the appropriate
  share directory.
• I will not accept e-mail submissions.
• You can access the share drives via FTP, or
  through this URL https//netstorage.bcit.ca/NetS
  torage/
• If you are prevented from accessing the share
  drives because of firewall restrictions or
  otherwise, then disable it or find a computer
  where the restriction doesnt apply.
• Submissions are the sole responsibility of the
  student.

Requirements

• Note on HTML user environment
• A major aspect in web application development is
  consideration of the user environment. It is
  expected that your submissions will reflect this.
• Requisite to this course is a working knowledge
  of HTML, CSS, JavaScript etc.
• Submissions where little or no attempt has been
  made to present an interesting and appropriate
  user environment will be considered incomplete
  and will not be graded.
• This applies to all Labs and Assignments. Make
  certain that you are leaving enough time to
  address this issue.
