PURPOSE OF THIS AGENDA ITEM

• APPROVE THE DEVELOPERS AGREEMENT BETWEEN COCHISE
  COUNTY AND THE ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF
  TRANSPORTATION.
• THIS IS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT
  THE INTERSECTION OF RAMSEY ROAD AND STATE ROUTE
  92

BACKGROUND

• Rancho San Pedro Estates was the first
  development affecting this intersection
• Two other developers on the southeast and
  southwest corners will also impact the
  intersection
• This is a unique public/private partnership where
  all parties pay their fair share

CONCLUSIONS

• This ties in three developers into paying their
  fair share of the signal
• All developers have already paid and signed the
  agreement
• Cochise County is managing this project
• Our procurement process should take no longer
  than one year, possibly well before hand

RECOMMENDATIONS

• Staff recommends moving this project ahead
  quickly and to accept the Developers Agreement
