19Other tips and reminders
- Give elective choices careful thought. Remember
that your schedule will not be changed unless
there is a mistake on it. You should choose
courses that - You are very interested in and think you might
enjoy. - You might use someday in a career or college.
- Some elective courses require that you fill out
an application far in advance. Find out if you
need to do so.
20- Be sure to note the number of credits for each
course. Some courses are a half credit some are
1 credit. - Use your IISD Course Book. It provides the
following information - a complete description of course content
- number of credits you will earn in the course
21If you are making high grades in one of your core
classes, you should discuss with your teacher the
advisability of moving to a higher level. There
are many advantages to doing so, including
college credit while youre still in high school!
If you want to change levels in a course, you
must turn in a request form with student, parent
and teacher signatures for each course you are
seeking to change.
22- CPR Come Prepared and Ready.
- You must turn in all paperwork to your advisor on
February 20th. - When your schedule has been finalized, it will
not be changed. - Talk to your parents, advisor, teacher(s) and/or
counselor if you have questions before you turn
in your paperwork.
