  the growth of a green economy in Illinois.
• This growth is assisted by aggressive state and
  federal public policy initiatives that are
  creating the opportunities to promote energy
  efficiency, expand Illinois renewable
  production, grow green industries, invest in
  green jobs and realize a robust green economy.

• The Energy Efficiency Portfolio will reduce
  electric and natural gas consumption in the state
  by providing adequate funding for initiatives to
  reduce customer energy usage through efficient
  lighting, appliances, heating, mechanical
  processes, etc.
• Efficiency improvements will save Illinois homes
  and businesses money, improve environmental
  quality, create jobs and further the economic
  development of Illinois.

EEPS is a part of Legislation signed into law
that provides for incentives in the form of
rebates and/or grants for ComEd and/or Ameren
Illinois utility customers to encourage them to
purchase and install high efficiency equipment
and systems to reduce electricity use
