So what support do we offer at Radyr?
19
We have a dedicated Welsh Baccalaureate team
including Mrs Wilson as Welsh Baccalaureate
Co-ordinator, Mrs Foley ad Welsh Baccalaureate
administrator and a team of form tutors and Welsh
Bac tutors

8.00 4.30
We have increased the opening hours of the 6th
form study centre
21
On Tuesday afternoon students have two hours of
Welsh Baccalaureate lessons. It is expected that
students will complete at least two hours of
study on Welsh Baccalaureate outside of these
lessons.
22
Each student will have regular one to one
interviews with their personal tutor.
23
Absence from lessons is sometimes unavoidable.
If your child misses a Welsh Baccalaureate lesson
a letter is generated automatically with a tear
off slip for the tutor to confirm that the missed
hours have been caught up. This can be done by
seeing the teacher, looking the work up on moodle
or taking to other students. This is a vital
part of accounting for student hours.
24
The key to this course is organisation and
keeping on top of the work. Please help us by
talking to your child about his or her work and
emphasising the importance of deadlines to avoid
being overwhelmed with work all at once. So
what do we hope our course will offer your
children.
