Tips For Exporters

• Most imports are cleared through customs by
  licensed brokers familiar with all the
  requirements
• Certain goods are allowed duty-free entry into
  Canada under duty remission arrangements
• NAFTA allows for some foreign content in goods
  that will ultimately be entitled to duty-free
  entry into the US and Mexico
• Exporters may take advantage of business growth
  in Canada by providing goods to companies
  manufacturing goods in Canada that are entitled
  to enter the US and Mexico duty-free
• There are special packaging and labeling
  requirements for some prepackaged consumer
  products and consumer textile articles exported
  to Canada
• Advice on import restrictions and general customs
  requirements can be obtained from professional
  advisors
