Mission Statement
  • The Pennridge Language Arts curriculum is
    designed
  • To provide opportunities for all students to use
    language as communicators
  • To teach students to make meaning by reading,
    writing, listening, speaking, and thinking
    through the study of literature
  • Students will acquire the knowledge,
    processes, strategies, and skills necessary to
    become life-long learners, effective thinkers,
    and collaborative workers.

  • The students will develop an aesthetic, an
    historical, and a cultural understanding of
    literature.

Pennridge School District Language Arts Curriculum
  • The language arts are the disciplines of
    communications. Therefore, the Language Arts
    curriculum consists of developing students as
    effective communicators through reading, writing,
    speaking, listening, and thinking. This includes
    the use of literacy skills and strategies not
    only in the classroom, but as necessary
    components of a productive life.
