    important. Are there mountains you will have to
    climb? Will this take you longer?

  • Make a time line for your travel. How long will
    it take you to get to your destination? Will you
    have enough food? When will you have to leave to
    avoid winter storms? Will there be plenty of
    water, enough to drink and wash with?

  • Make a list of supplies you will need to make
    your trip? Be sure to consider how many people
    are in your family, will you have enough money to
    buy the supplies you need and will there be room
    to take it all with you? With these things in
    mind make your list be as small as possible so
    traveling will be easier, but you will still be
    able to survive.
