• During Preplanning go to rooms ask how you

• furniture and putting up bulletin boards)
• Create your schedule of teacher meetings,
• study groups based on the Master Schedule
• Who will be your MODEL Classrooms K-5?

• Articulate the Standards
• Plan instruction based on student need
• Model lessons and demonstrate for teachers
• Provide low-risk practice with feedback
• Observe in the rooms, gather data and plan
• your next steps with the TEACHERS
• Provide support based on level of implementation
• Help organize the 1,000,000 Word Campaign
• Assist (if needed) with the Book of the Month
• Serve on the Leadership Team

Coaching with Heart

• You are there for support to the teachers
• (you are to be of service to them)
• You are NOT an evaluator
• IF something becomes a problem, you cannot
• be a tattletale
• Give the teacher some feedback and a
• specific strategy
• Document your conversations and visits
• If the problem continues, you may need
• to address this with the administration.
