In 2003, a new addition to the Wireline
Technologies connector product line was
introduced, Rotary Connectors. Based upon
similar design principles, the Rotary Connectors
utilize replaceable contact springs to establish
the conductive paths. This provides the operator
the ability to replace the main contact mechanism
in the event of wear or damage. These Rotary
Connectors are commonly used as an internal
connection for downhole tool assemblies in
conjunction with sealed pressure barrels.
