Outley Elementary
Mrs. Wilson enhances a learning environment by
having her teachers display bulletin boards with
the TLW. Through this, I learned the
effectiveness of the strategy in having it
relate to the TEKS.

Outley Elementary
Working hands on in the school gives you an
experience on how real teaching is. I learned so
much working with my SBTEs and the children as
well, here at Outley. I learned something new
everyday from my SBTEs, and they provided me
with new and useful resources that I could use
later in my own classroom.

All About Me!
Posters were made by every teacher at Outley and
they contained things about them that they would
share with their classroom. I also made my own
poster which I intend to use for my classroom,
so the kids can know a little more about me.

SBTEs
I enjoyed working with 2nd grade, Ms. Chasnoff
had unique techniques she implemented in her
classroom. A classroom management approach she
used very often was when the kids would get
noisy, she said Salami out loud, and the whole
classroom would stop what theyre doing and get
quiet.

SBTEs
While observing in Mrs. Tukes class, I learned
many useful and wonderful techniques that I will
definitely use in my own classroom. I closely
monitored her modeling techniques, which were
very effective, and they helped me improve my own
lesson plans. The interactions she has with all
her students shows the impact of her effective
teaching styles.

Culturally Diverse

• Observing in a culturally diverse classroom gave
  me the opportunity to explore the different
  techniques and modifications that are implemented
  in a ESL classroom. I really enjoyed working in
  an ESL classroom!

Service Learning Project
My group and I taught a lesson on
community Service. If we would have been able to
implement this project we would have given the
children the opportunity to donate food and
clothing to the house of Amos.

Alief Cluster
Helping one another during this semester and
sharing each others ideas, gave us an
understanding of community. I learned so much
from many of peers and Hope to keep in touch
with all of them after Quest 2.
