To start your Financial Plan
  • Prepare the following for your household-
  • Your budget (income, expenses monthly and
    infrequent)
  • A list of all debt (bond retail accounts, credit
    card etc)
  • A list of all investments (savings, unit trusts,
    properties etc)
  • A list of all policies (who with and what cover
    provided etc)
  • Think about your goals (short, medium and long
    term)
  • Find a financial advisor you trust

    retirement savings
  • What other saving/investment/debt reduction
    strategies do I need/have?
  • How much to invest minimum or more?
  • Level of death disability cover

UCTRF - Additional Savings for Retirement
  • Annual Cost of Employment (CoE) with
    default Deemed Pensionable Amount (DPA)
  • Up to R150 000 70
  • R150 001 to R250 000 75
  • R250 001 to R400 000 78
  • R400 000 80
  • Flexible DPA - can inc/decrease DPA between
    guideline 100 of CoE _at_ CoE time each year
  • Increases retirement savings risk cover.

UCTRF - Additional Savings for Retirement
  • Additional contribution as a of Annual Deemed
    Pensionable Amount (DPA)
  • 2,67 per annum - 2 months pens. service p.a.
  • 5,34 per annum - 4 months pens. service p.a.
  • These payments are made by the employer and are
    not subject to tax. (No additional costs)
  • The contribution goes directly to your
    retirement savings
