The main idea is a boy who is trying to find his
dad and he is a foster child.

• The boy was adopted by a family and they were
  mean to him
• they were him up for adoption.
• Then he ran away to try to find his dad.
• Then he found E.Calloway.
• Which was his grandfathers his moms dad.
• Then he found out his mom died.

• The setting is in a orphanage.
• He did not know his family.
• Bud lost his mother.
• After he found out he ran away from his foster
  parents
• Then he had to sleep in a shed.
• The story toke place during the great depression.

Character Description

• Bud-he was a foster, but he ran away from them
  because they were mean to him Bud was kind.
• Herman E Calloway- was a member of a band witch
  he was pretty good, and he was mean once he found
  out his grandson was bud He was mean.
• Ms.Thomas was a good lead singer. She showed bud
  his moms room so he could know what she was like
  she was really nice.

• And at different countries.
• It happened in 1928.
• It was a big point in that time.
• It ended at 1988.
