iPlan is a state-wide framework for electronic
planning information and services. iPlan will
allow users to

• quickly find all planning policies
• electronically lodge development applications
• select and overlay layers of planning and related
  data.

Proposed Planning Cluster

• DUAP is proposing to establish a Planning
  Cluster to manage and share planning information
  in NSW
• The cluster will be a network of agencies and
  organisations at both state and local government
  levels
• The aim is to improve information and technology
  sharing amongst stakeholders in the planning
  system.
• This includes
• rationalisation of data
• better policies and decisions
• cost effective IT investments
• and improved service and advice to clients.

• iPlan implementation has begun with the
  development of several projects.

• The Industrylands web site was launched in August
  2000.
• Industrylands online provides details of
  locations for development and potential
  industrial sites in Sydney

• It will be extended to the Newcastle, Wollongong
  and Central Coast regions by August 2001.
