• Website layouts using (X)HTML and CSS
• Use client-side JavaScript to modify the
  appearance of a website
• Write Java-based applets and embed them in a
  webpage
• Use server-side PHP scripting to generate
  websites on the fly
• Design a simple database and host it on a
  database server
• Create a data-driven website integrating a
  browser, web server, and database server using
  HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
• Understand the subtleties of deploying and
  maintaining an application across multiple
  (remote) servers on a wide variety of hardware
  and software
• Understand how privacy and confidentiality relate
  to website design

Grading

• Review grading on course website
• The grading formula applies only to those
  students who have successfully met the objectives
  of this course.
• There is a 10 per business day late penalty for
  all written work and no work will be accepted
  more than one week late for credit.
• The lowest quiz grade will be dropped.
• You are encouraged to discuss assignments (lab
  and homework) but everyone is responsible for
  doing and turning in their own work. (Sharing
  code is not allowed.)
• All lab reports must be accompanied by a time log
  summary entered through the FAST system
