DoD REPSONSE

• 212 Detailed Requirements Identified
• 135 requirements satisfied by CAC today or
  requires minor adjustments
• 69 requirements can be implemented by RAPIDS
  Redesign
• 5 requirements require multi-organizational
  coordination
• 3 requirements require policy adjustment

WORK IN PROGRESS

• Commence Building Draft Implementation Plan
• Currently have 17 white papers pending Senior
  approval.
• Applet changes to be PIV compliant
• Reporting Approach for FIPS 201
• Resourcing impact of implementation
• Who is in charge

LOOKING AHEAD

• Great deal of work to be done.
• Size of the DoD mean that some requirements will
  be beta on October 25, 2005 2006.

• Even after being engaged for 5-years, The FIPS
  will have major impact.
