Preliminary Decisions

• The first step in planning for the event is
  making some small decisions about the event
• WHAT type of event are we planning
• WHEN will it occur
• WHY are we having the event
• WERE would it need to be located

Planning time

• After you have made your preliminary decisions
  you need to asses your time schedule
• When do you need to reserve the site your event
  will be at
• When do you need to secure food
• When does your program need to be decided

Break Out Session

• I want you to take 15 minutes and plan an event.
  I want you to make a timeline of when you will
  reserve the things you need. I want you to show
  what the program will be and how you will make it
  happen. And what your location is.

• Assign different tasks to different people to
  spread out the work you need to do
• Dont Micro-Manage
• Discuss ideas over with your adviser and the
  Lodge Chief or the officer you report to before
  hand
