The Order of The Planets

The Solar System is made up of the Sun in the
centre, surrounded by nine different planets, one
of which is Earth. All the other planets orbit
the Sun in a similar way to the Earth. Like Earth
they do not give out light and we only see them
because they reflect light from the Sun. Mercury
and Venus take less than 1 year to go once round
the Sun because they are much closer to it than
the Earth. The temperature of their surfaces is
greater than the Earths for the same reason.

Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto
take more than 1 year to go around the Sun
because they are further from it than the Earth.
The temperature surfaces is Lower than the
Earths for the same reason.
Most of the Planets have Objects called Moons in
orbit around them. These Moons are examples of
Natural Satellites. The Earth has one Moon, while
Saturn has more than 20 moons in orbit around it.
