  the patient is more so.

  a doctor knows it occurs at the bedside.

• Dont stand when you can sit, dont sit when you
  can lay down.
• Eat when you can, Sleep when you can, when in
  doubt give fluids and dont mess with the
  pancreas.
• It is better to look good than feel good.
• Take care of yourself.
• Remember to take care of the ones at home.

• Read a standard text early in the rotation.
• Practice questions with a clock at the end of the
  rotation.
• Carry photocopies of books in your pocket.
• Use everyone around you as a resource.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Work Hours
• Post-call go home after AM rounds
• Must return for all educational activities
  including lectures
• Returning student s must be in professional attire

Clinical Responsibilities

• Exam Week
• No call the night before OSCE or written exam
• No clinical responsibilities the day between OSCE
  and written exam
• Must return to hospital immediately after the
  OSCE for day time duties

• The final grade is final

Evaluations

• Honors If you get an A in all 4 areas of
  evaluation.
• In progress Failure of one area but pass all
  other areas of evaluation.
• Failure Fail two or more areas of evaluation.

Re-mediation

• In progress
• Clinical evaluation successfully repeat 4 weeks
  of rotation
• HPs successfully complete four HPs
• OSCE successfully repeat the OSCE
• Exam successfully pass exam, up to three
  attempts
• The final grade will be calculated using the new
  data and will be down graded one letter grade
  unless that grade is a C.
• Failure The student must repeat the entire
  clerkship.
