  • Effective education strategies to provide our
children with the means to participate to their
    full potential in the workforce

responsive to changing employer and employee
    needs
  • Effective apprenticeship and workplace education
    strategies

Critical Labour Market Challenges and Actions
  • Effective communication to match supply and
demand, employer needs and other changes in the
    labour market.
  • Access to timely and reliable labour market
    information to support effective decision-making
    by individuals, employers, educators and
    trainers, and governments
  • Effective supports for career decision-making
  • Effective human resource planning by employers
    (recruitment and retention strategies, training

contribute to productivity growth and ensure that

Our Reality
  • The demographic die is cast there is little we
can do to reverse or even slow the ag(e)ing of
Canadas population over the coming decades. But
it is certainly within our power to plan better
for it. And better planning begins with better
    information concerning the long-term fiscal
implications of the coming demographic shift.
